Free Jazz in Color – The Exploration of the Stroke
As a drummer and a painter, I've spent a lifetime immersed in the worlds of rhythm and color. The connection between sound and visual expression has always fascinated me—how one can influence and inspire the other. My journey has been like building a garden that grows into a forest, starting from a single seed of inspiration and expanding into something much larger than I ever anticipated.
The Garden Series is the culmination of this journey: over 200 paintings that explore the intricate relationship between the stroke of the brush and the pulse of the beat. Just as in free jazz, where rhythm is both structured and spontaneous, these works unfold in layers of color and movement, each piece a reflection of my ongoing dialogue between the visual and the sonic.
